Bob Davidson (pitcher)

Bob Davidson (born August 28, 1953) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. He played professionally from 1975 to 1984, primarily as a relief pitcher.

Davidson began his professional career after being drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 1st round (17th overall) of the 1975 MLB January Draft-Regular Phase from Yavapai College. He made his major league debut with the Padres on April 12, 1978.

He pitched for the San Diego Padres (1978-1980), Houston Astros (1981-1983), and Chicago White Sox (1984). His career statistics include an earned run average (ERA) of 4.05, and a win-loss record of 18-24 over 228 games.

After retiring from professional baseball, Davidson worked in various business ventures.
