Obsidian (novel)
Obsidian is a young adult paranormal romance novel written by Jennifer L. Armentrout, published in 2011. It is the first book in the Lux series. The novel follows the story of seventeen-year-old Katy Swartz as she moves to a small town in West Virginia and encounters her mysterious and captivating neighbors, the Black siblings, who are actually aliens known as Luxen. The narrative primarily focuses on the burgeoning romance between Katy and Daemon Black, one of the Luxen, and the challenges they face due to their vastly different worlds and the dangers inherent in Daemon's alien nature. The book explores themes of love, sacrifice, prejudice, and self-discovery within a science fiction and fantasy framework. Obsidian is followed by Onyx, the second book in the series.
