I.S.S. (film)

I.S.S. is a 2023 American science fiction thriller film directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite and written by Nick Shafir. The film stars Ariana DeBose, Chris Messina, Pilou Asbæk, John Gallagher Jr., Costa Ronin, and Masha Mashkova.

The plot revolves around six astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS): three American astronauts and three Russian cosmonauts. They are abruptly thrust into crisis when they receive conflicting orders from their respective nations, now engaged in conflict on Earth. The film explores themes of international cooperation, loyalty, and the psychological impact of being isolated in space during a global crisis. It premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2023 and was released theatrically in the United States on January 19, 2024, by Bleecker Street and ShivHans Pictures.
