Heywood (UK Parliament constituency)

Heywood is a parliamentary constituency in Greater Manchester, England, represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2014 by Chris Clarkson of the Conservative Party.

The constituency was created in 1983 from parts of the former Rochdale and Middleton and Prestwich constituencies. It is named after the town of Heywood, which is its largest population centre. Other settlements within the constituency include Bamford, Norden, and Castleton, all located within the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale.

Historically, Heywood has been a Labour-Conservative marginal seat. Labour held the seat from 1983 until 2010, when it was won by the Liberal Democrats. In 2015, Labour regained the seat, only for the Conservatives to win it in 2019.

The constituency's boundaries are defined by the Sixth Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies.
