Heiress (band)
Heiress was an American metal band formed in Seattle, Washington in 2009. The band's sound blended elements of sludge metal, doom metal, and hardcore punk, often incorporating dissonant chords and aggressive vocals. Heiress was known for its bleak and nihilistic lyrical themes.
The band's core lineup consisted of John Pettibone (vocals), Wes Genera (guitar), and Adam Paysse (drums). Over the years, various bassists contributed to the band's recordings and performances.
Heiress released several EPs and two full-length albums: Dripping Corpses (2013) and Made Wrong (2016), both through Relapse Records. They toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, sharing the stage with bands such as Today Is The Day, The Secret, and Baptists.
Heiress disbanded in 2018.
