SM UC-29

SM UC-29 was a German Type UC II minelaying submarine or U-boat in the German Imperial Navy (Kaiserliche Marine) during World War I. She was commissioned on 25 July 1916.

UC-29 operated primarily in the English Channel and Western Approaches, laying mines and attacking Allied shipping. She sank numerous vessels, including merchant ships, fishing boats, and naval auxiliaries.

On 20 September 1917, while operating off Start Point, Devon, UC-29 was rammed and sunk by the British destroyer HMS Doris. There were no survivors from UC-29's crew. Her wreck remains a designated war grave.
