Chris Gladwin (engineer)
Chris Gladwin is an American engineer, inventor, and entrepreneur known for his work in distributed storage and cloud computing. He is the founder and former CEO of Cleversafe, a company that developed a patented object-based storage technology that enabled massive scale data storage at low cost and high reliability. Cleversafe was acquired by IBM in 2015.
Gladwin's work with Cleversafe revolutionized data storage solutions, particularly for organizations dealing with vast amounts of unstructured data. His technology focused on dispersing data across multiple physical locations, mitigating risks associated with single point failures and enhancing data durability.
Prior to Cleversafe, Gladwin founded and led startups focused on optical networking and telecommunications. He holds multiple patents related to storage and networking technologies.
