Heanor

Heanor is a town located in the Amber Valley district of Derbyshire, England. It is situated approximately 11 miles northeast of Derby and 8 miles southwest of Alfreton.

Historically a coal mining and textile manufacturing area, Heanor's industries have diversified in recent decades. The town's history can be traced back to the Domesday Book of 1086, where it is recorded as Hainoure.

Heanor features a market place, a range of shops and businesses, and several schools. It is served by the A608 road and is within reasonable proximity to the M1 motorway. The town is part of the civil parish of Heanor and Loscoe.

Notable landmarks include Heanor Memorial Park and St. Lawrence's Church. The town has a local football club, Heanor Town F.C.
