George Scott (boxer)

George Scott (born October 21, 1966) is a retired American professional boxer. He competed primarily in the light heavyweight division.

Scott had a professional career spanning from 1987 to 1998. He faced several notable opponents throughout his career, including Virgil Hill, for the WBA Light Heavyweight title in 1990 (resulting in a loss), and Thomas Hearns in 1992 (also resulting in a loss). While Scott never secured a major world title, he remained a competitive contender in the division for several years. His career record includes wins against a number of journeyman fighters.
