Havant (UK Parliament constituency)
Havant is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2015 by Alan Mak of the Conservative Party. It is located in Hampshire, covering the town of Havant and surrounding areas in the borough of Havant.
Boundaries:
The Havant constituency covers the majority of the Borough of Havant. The boundaries have seen minor adjustments over time, most recently as a result of boundary reviews conducted by the Boundary Commission for England. Generally, the constituency includes the urban area of Havant itself, as well as adjacent settlements and a portion of the surrounding rural areas.
History:
The Havant constituency was created in 1983, replacing the former Havant and Waterloo constituency. Since its creation, it has consistently been a Conservative-held seat.
