Harry Day (politician)

Harry Day (1880 – 1956) was a British Labour Party politician.

Born in London, Day worked as a bookmaker and journalist before entering politics. He served as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Southwark Central from 1924 to 1931, and again from 1935 until his death in 1956. During his time in Parliament, he was known for his strong advocacy for working-class interests and his outspoken contributions to debates. He often spoke on issues related to gambling and horse racing, given his background in that industry. Day was a prominent figure in the Labour movement and a respected voice on social and economic issues affecting his constituents. He died in office at the age of 76.
