Hamid (film)

Hamid is a 2018 Indian Urdu-language drama film directed by Aijaz Khan. Set against the backdrop of the conflict in Kashmir, the film explores the themes of loss, hope, and reconciliation through the story of a young boy named Hamid.

The film revolves around Hamid, a seven-year-old boy whose father has disappeared. Grieving and longing for his father, Hamid learns about the helpline number and mistakenly believes it is a way to reach God. He calls the number, which is answered by a CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) officer named Abhay. Initially hesitant, Abhay begins to interact with Hamid, forming an unlikely bond.
