HMS Wizard (1830)

HMS Wizard was a Royal Navy Cherokee-class brig-sloop launched in 1830. Designed by Sir William Symonds, she was built at Pembroke Dockyard.

Wizard was commissioned on 22 July 1830 under Commander George Bohun Martin for service in the Mediterranean. In 1834, she was paid off.

Recommissioned on 25 February 1836 under Commander John Rendall, Wizard again served in the Mediterranean. Commander George Hope took command in 1838. She later served on the South American station.

Wizard was eventually sold out of the service in 1842.
