HMS Simoom (1916)
HMS Simoom was a British S-class destroyer built for the Royal Navy during the First World War. She was one of 67 destroyers of this class ordered between 1916 and 1917.
Simoom was built by John Brown & Company at their Clydebank shipyard. She was launched on 30 September 1916 and commissioned in December 1916.
Throughout her service in World War I, Simoom primarily operated in the North Sea, participating in anti-submarine patrols and escort duties for larger vessels. She saw action against German U-boats and surface raiders.
After the war, Simoom remained in service with the Royal Navy. She was eventually sold for scrap on 16 May 1921.
