HMS Desperate (1849)

HMS Desperate was a steam paddle frigate of the British Royal Navy, launched in 1849. She was built at Woolwich Dockyard, designed by Oliver Lang, and represented an early example of steam-powered warships within the Royal Navy's fleet.
