HMS Ardent (F184)
HMS Ardent (F184) was a Royal Navy Type 21 frigate. She was built by Yarrow Shipbuilders and launched on 9 May 1975. Ardent was sunk in Falkland Sound on 21 May 1982, during the Falklands War, after being attacked by Argentine aircraft.

She sustained numerous hits from bombs and cannon fire from Argentine aircraft, including A-4 Skyhawks and IAI Daggers. Following extensive damage and uncontrolled fires, the order to abandon ship was given.
The sinking of HMS Ardent resulted in the loss of 22 lives from her crew. The wreck of HMS Ardent is designated as a protected place under the Protection of Military Remains Act 1986.
