Greg Brown (sportscaster)

Greg Brown (born May 22, 1957) is an American sportscaster best known for his play-by-play commentary for the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball on AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh. He has been with the Pirates broadcast team since 1994, primarily calling television games.

Brown's broadcasting career began in radio, and he held various play-by-play and sports reporting positions before joining the Pirates. He is known for his energetic style, distinctive voice, and signature phrases, including "Raise the Jolly Roger!" which he uses when the Pirates win.

Beyond his work with the Pirates, Brown has also contributed to broadcasts for other sports and networks. He has been recognized for his contributions to baseball broadcasting with several awards.
