Gornji Ig

Gornji Ig is a village in the Municipality of Ig, Central Slovenia. It is located in the Ig municipality, south of the capital city of Ljubljana. The settlement is part of the traditional region of Inner Carniola and is now included in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region. The village is known for its rural character and proximity to the surrounding natural landscape, including forests and agricultural land. The name "Gornji Ig" literally translates to "Upper Ig," distinguishing it from the nearby settlement of Spodnji Ig ("Lower Ig").
