Go (radio show)

Go was a British radio comedy panel game broadcast on BBC Radio 4. It ran for six series between 1998 and 2004. The show was chaired by Barry Took for the first four series, and by Nicholas Parsons for the final two.

The format involved two teams of three panelists who answered questions and participated in improvised games, generally themed around a particular subject. The subject matter varied wildly, from the relatively straightforward (e.g., "Gardening," "Holidays") to the deliberately obscure and surreal (e.g., "The History of Rubber Gloves," "Insects").

Regular panelists included Graeme Garden and Tim Brooke-Taylor. Guest panelists varied from show to show, featuring many well-known comedians and actors.

A key element of the show's humour was its unpredictable nature and the panelists' ability to riff off each other, creating absurd and often hilarious scenarios. Its blend of trivia and improvisational comedy made it a popular programme among Radio 4 listeners. While never reaching the iconic status of some other Radio 4 comedy shows, it maintained a dedicated following.
