Gláuber (footballer, born 1981)

Gláuber Leandro Honorato Berti, commonly known as Gláuber, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a central defender.

Career:

Gláuber began his professional career in Brazil, playing for clubs such as Palmeiras and Grêmio. He then moved to Europe, joining German side 1. FC Nürnberg in 2005. He established himself as a key player for Nürnberg, helping them win the DFB-Pokal in 2007.

In 2008, Gláuber transferred to English Premier League club Manchester City. He spent one season at City before moving to Brazil again, this time to São Paulo FC. After a short spell back in Brazil, he returned to Europe, signing for Romanian side Rapid București. He subsequently played for Columbus Crew in Major League Soccer and concluded his career with Sport Recife in Brazil.

International Career:

Gláuber represented Brazil at international level. He earned a few caps for the national team, though he was not a regular starter.
