George Graham (New Zealand politician)
George Graham (1812 – 1894) was a 19th-century New Zealand politician.
Born in Scotland, Graham emigrated to New Zealand in 1842. He established himself as a businessman in Auckland and became involved in local politics.
Graham served as a Member of the Auckland Provincial Council, representing various constituencies. He was a strong advocate for the development of Auckland and the expansion of infrastructure. He held positions within the Provincial Executive, including serving as Provincial Treasurer.
In 1855, Graham was elected to the New Zealand House of Representatives for the Auckland electorate. He remained a Member of Parliament until 1866, representing various Auckland-based electorates. During his time in Parliament, he was involved in debates on land policy, Māori affairs, and constitutional matters.
Graham also served as a member of the Legislative Council from 1872 to 1891.
He died in Auckland in 1894.
