Fun House (British game show)
Fun House was a British children's game show produced by Scottish Television (STV) and broadcast on ITV from 1989 to 1999. Hosted by Pat Sharp, alongside twins Melanie and Martina Grant, the show featured two teams of children competing in messy physical challenges and quiz rounds to win prizes.
The core of the show was the "Fun House" itself, a large set filled with games, obstacles, and hidden prizes. After accumulating points in preliminary rounds, the winning team had the chance to explore the Fun House, navigating its chaotic environment to collect prize tokens. The team had a limited amount of time, during which they were guided by Pat Sharp's shouted instructions and the twins' assistance.
The show was known for its high-energy presentation, boisterous atmosphere, and the abundance of gunge and custard pies used throughout the challenges. Its popularity led to numerous spin-offs and adaptations, solidifying its place as a memorable fixture of British children's television in the 1990s.
