Freeform (Apple)

Freeform is a collaborative whiteboard application developed by Apple Inc. It allows users to brainstorm, plan projects, and visually organize ideas using a shared, digital canvas. Introduced in iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2, and macOS Ventura 13.1, Freeform is designed to facilitate real-time collaboration between users, regardless of their physical location.

The application provides a large, virtually unbounded workspace where users can add various types of content, including text, images, videos, audio files, documents (like PDFs, Keynote presentations, Pages documents, and Numbers spreadsheets), web links, and sticky notes. Users can also draw directly on the canvas with their finger, Apple Pencil, or mouse.

Freeform boards are stored in iCloud, enabling users to access and edit their boards across all their Apple devices. Collaboration is facilitated through iCloud sharing; users can invite others to view and edit a board, and changes are synchronized in real-time. The application supports up to 100 collaborators on a single board.
