Fred Morris (footballer, born 1929)
Fred Morris (born 28 March 1929) was an English professional footballer who played as a winger. He played in the Football League for Bristol Rovers and Newport County.
Morris began his career as an amateur with Bristol Rovers, signing professionally in 1950. He made over 100 league appearances for the club between 1950 and 1955, establishing himself as a regular in the side. He was known for his pace and dribbling ability on the wing.
In 1955, he transferred to Newport County. He spent two seasons with Newport, making a further 38 league appearances before retiring from professional football.
