Frank Lloyd (horn player)

Frank Lloyd is a British horn player, known for his solo work, orchestral contributions, and chamber music performances. He is Principal Horn of the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

Lloyd received his early musical training at Wells Cathedral School and later studied at the Royal Academy of Music. He is recognized for his technical proficiency, musicality, and versatility across a wide range of repertoire, from Baroque to contemporary works.

He has appeared as a soloist with numerous orchestras, both in the UK and internationally. His discography includes recordings of standard horn repertoire as well as lesser-known works. Lloyd is also actively involved in music education, giving masterclasses and workshops. He is a professor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
