Frank Leo

Frank Leo is a Canadian police officer, best known for his service as the 19th Chief of Police for the Toronto Police Service (TPS). He assumed the role of Chief on December 18, 2023, succeeding James Ramer.

Prior to his appointment as Chief, Leo served in various capacities within the TPS, holding progressively senior leadership roles. His career spans decades and includes experience in areas such as community policing, emergency planning, and operational command.

His appointment as Chief of Police was met with significant media attention and public interest, particularly regarding his strategic vision for the TPS and his approach to addressing crime and community relations within Toronto.
