Frank FitzGerald (judge)

Frank FitzGerald (born 1931, died 2009) was an Irish judge. He served as a judge of the High Court from 1988 to 2006.

FitzGerald was educated at University College Dublin and King's Inns. He was called to the Bar in 1954 and became a Senior Counsel in 1970. Before his appointment to the High Court, he practiced law extensively, specializing in commercial and planning law.

During his tenure on the High Court, FitzGerald presided over a wide variety of cases, including complex commercial disputes, judicial review applications, and criminal trials. He was known for his thoroughness, impartiality, and deep understanding of the law. His judgments were frequently cited in subsequent cases and contributed significantly to Irish jurisprudence.
