John Russ (American football)

John Russ (born December 30, 1992) is a former American football quarterback. He played college football at Delaware State University.

Russ was a four-year starter for the Delaware State Hornets. He holds several school records, including career passing yards and career touchdown passes. He was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Offensive Player of the Year in 2016.

After going undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft, Russ signed with the New Orleans Saints but was later released. He subsequently signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but was released again. He has since pursued other opportunities outside of professional football.
