Alex Gray (sportsman, born 1991)

Alex Gray (born 3 May 1991) is an English professional athlete who has participated in multiple sports at a high level.

Gray initially rose to prominence as a rugby union player. He represented England at the Under-16, Under-18, and Under-20 levels. He played professionally for Newcastle Falcons and Northampton Saints in the English Premiership, and for London Scottish in the RFU Championship. He primarily played as a centre.

In 2017, Gray transitioned to American football, joining the NFL's International Player Pathway program. He was subsequently signed by the Atlanta Falcons as a tight end. He spent several seasons on the Falcons' practice squad and active roster, making a limited number of appearances in regular season games. Gray's transition from rugby to the NFL generated significant media attention. He was later signed by the Carolina Panthers in 2020, again as a tight end, but his career was cut short due to injury.

Following his NFL career, Gray returned to rugby, demonstrating his versatility as an athlete.
