Flaws (album)

Flaws is the debut studio album by the British indie rock band, Bombay Bicycle Club. It was released on July 2, 2010, through Island Records. The album is notable for its acoustic, folk-influenced sound, a significant departure from the band's earlier electric guitar-driven indie rock style.

The album's production and overall aesthetic were heavily influenced by Indian folk music, particularly the use of acoustic instruments like the mandolin, ukulele, and various percussion instruments. This was inspired by the band's travels in India.

Flaws received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised its unique sound and songwriting. Several singles were released from the album, including "Ivy & Gold" and "Rinse Me Down." The album reached number 8 on the UK Albums Chart.

The band subsequently stated that Flaws was a transitional album, allowing them to explore different musical directions before returning to a more rock-oriented sound on their later releases.
