Milan Jovanović (footballer, born 1981)

Milan Jovanović (Serbian Cyrillic: Милан Јовановић; born 18 April 1981) is a Serbian former professional footballer who primarily played as a forward.

Jovanović began his professional career with FK Vojvodina in Serbia, where he played from 2000 to 2003. He subsequently moved to Sheriff Tiraspol in Moldova, where he spent four seasons and achieved considerable success, winning multiple league titles and cups.

In 2007, he transferred to Standard Liège in Belgium. He quickly established himself as a key player, contributing significantly to the team's success. He was instrumental in Standard Liège winning the Belgian First Division title in both the 2007–08 and 2008–09 seasons. During his time in Belgium, he earned the nickname "Snake" for his predatory instincts in front of goal.

Following his successful stint in Belgium, Jovanović moved to Liverpool in 2010. However, his time at Liverpool was less successful, and he departed after one season.

He subsequently played for Anderlecht, where he again won the Belgian First Division title in the 2011–12 season.

Jovanović was also a member of the Serbian national team. He represented Serbia at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, scoring a goal in the group stage match against Germany. He earned over 40 caps for the national team.

After his playing career, Jovanović has been involved in various football-related activities.
