Everlast

Everlast is a brand primarily known for its boxing equipment, clothing, and related fitness products. Founded in 1910 as a swimwear manufacturer in the Bronx, New York, it evolved into a significant player in the sporting goods industry, particularly within boxing and mixed martial arts (MMA).

History

Originally named Everlast Knitting Mills, the company was founded by Jacob Golomb. The shift towards boxing occurred after Golomb was challenged to create a boxing headgear that would last more than one round. He delivered on this challenge, and subsequently expanded the product line to include boxing gloves and other protective gear. Jack Dempsey, a prominent boxer of the era, became a brand endorser, significantly increasing Everlast's popularity.
