Ellerker
Ellerker is a village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately 12 miles (19 km) west of Kingston upon Hull and 3 miles (4.8 km) east of Brough.
Historically, Ellerker was part of the Harthill Wapentake. The village is small and primarily agricultural. The civil parish includes the hamlet of Brantinghamthorpe.
The name Ellerker is believed to be of Old English origin, possibly derived from "eald-hyrne-ker," meaning "old corner marsh" or "old corner fen."
Ellerker has a small village hall and a church, St. Anne's, which is a Grade II listed building. The village is served by a local bus route.
The population of the Ellerker civil parish as recorded in the 2011 UK census was 294.
