Eeyore
Eeyore is a fictional character in the Winnie-the-Pooh books by A. A. Milne. He is a melancholic, gloomy, and pessimistic donkey who is a friend of Winnie-the-Pooh and the other inhabitants of the Hundred Acre Wood. Eeyore is characterized by his consistently negative outlook on life, often complaining about his misfortunes, perceived or real, and expecting the worst possible outcome in any situation. He lives in a ramshackle house made of sticks that frequently collapses. Despite his generally downbeat disposition, Eeyore is ultimately a loyal and valued member of the group, and the other characters care deeply about him. He is often the subject of Pooh's and Piglet's kind deeds, even though Eeyore rarely acknowledges their efforts with enthusiasm. His tail, which is attached with a nail, often falls off, contributing to his sense of dejection. Eeyore's gloomy personality provides a comedic contrast to the more optimistic and cheerful personalities of the other characters in the Hundred Acre Wood.
