East Island (1985 constituency)

East Island was a geographical constituency in Hong Kong in 1985, created under the Electoral Provisions Ordinance. It elected one member to the Legislative Council of Hong Kong through indirect elections via an Electoral College. The Electoral College was composed of members of the Urban Council, Regional Council, and District Boards.

This constituency, along with others created in 1985, marked the introduction of indirect elections to the Legislative Council, a significant step in Hong Kong's political development leading up to the transfer of sovereignty in 1997. The East Island constituency existed for one term only, lasting until the 1988 Legislative Council election when the electoral system was reorganized. The member elected to represent East Island in 1985 was Dr. Ho Kam-fai.
