ETRR-1

ETRR-1 is an acronym for the Egyptian Test Research Reactor-1, Egypt's first nuclear reactor. It is a research reactor located at the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority (EAEA) facilities in Inshas, near Cairo.

ETRR-1 is a tank-in-pool type research reactor, originally designed and built by the Soviet Union. It began operation in 1961 and was designed primarily for research and training purposes. The reactor is used in a variety of applications including:
