Duzduzan

Duzduzan is a village located in the Sharur District of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan. It is situated near the Iranian border. The economy of Duzduzan is largely based on agriculture, particularly grape cultivation and livestock breeding. The village is also known for its proximity to a salt mine, which contributes to the local economy and, historically, to the name itself. "Duz" means "salt" in Azerbaijani and Turkish, suggesting a historical connection to salt production or resources. The region experiences a continental climate with hot summers and cold winters.
