Monica (Tamil actress)

Monica (born Rekha Maruthiraj on 4 June 1987) is a former Indian actress who primarily appeared in Tamil-language films. She also acted in Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada films. She debuted as a child artist in the Tamil film En Aasai Machan (1994).

She is best known for her performances in films such as Azhagi (2002), where she played the titular character, Imsai Arasan 23rd Pulikesi (2006), a historical comedy, and Silandhi (2008), a thriller.

In 2014, she converted to Islam and changed her name to M.G. Rahima. Following her conversion, she announced her retirement from acting. She later married Malik in 2015.
