Low Rigg

Low Rigg is a fell in the English Lake District, located in the Northern Fells. It is situated to the east of the popular walking centre of Keswick and offers relatively easy access and panoramic views, particularly to the south over Derwentwater and the surrounding fells.

Low Rigg is a Wainwright fell, meaning it is included in Alfred Wainwright's pictorial guides to the Lakeland Fells. Wainwright describes it as an "excellent viewpoint for very little effort". The fell is primarily grassy with some rocky outcrops, and the summit is marked by a small cairn. The paths leading to the summit are generally well-maintained, making it a suitable walk for families and less experienced hill walkers.

Despite its relatively low height compared to other Lakeland fells, Low Rigg provides extensive views of the higher peaks such as Skiddaw, Blencathra, and the Helvellyn range. The villages of Threlkeld and St. John's in the Vale are also visible from its slopes.
