Dr. Sun Yat-sen (opera)

Dr. Sun Yat-sen is an opera in three acts composed by Huang Ruo, with a libretto by Candace M. Smith and David Henry Hwang. The opera tells the story of Sun Yat-sen, the revolutionary and founding father of the Republic of China. It focuses on key periods in his life, including his exile, his relationships with his wives and fellow revolutionaries, and his efforts to establish a new China.
