Alywow

Alywow was a Canadian-bred Thoroughbred racehorse who competed in both Canada and the United States. Bred by Kinghaven Farms, she was foaled in 1991. She was sired by Alydar, a prominent American stallion, and her dam was the mare La Lorette.

Alywow achieved significant success on the racetrack, particularly excelling on turf courses. Her most notable victory came in the 1994 Queen's Plate, Canada's premier race for Canadian-bred three-year-olds. She was the fourth filly to ever win the prestigious race.

Other significant wins included the Nassau Stakes and the Canadian Oaks. Alywow was trained by Phil England and primarily ridden by jockey Gail Cox. Her performances earned her recognition as a champion in Canada, solidifying her place in Canadian racing history.

After her racing career, Alywow became a broodmare. Her offspring have continued the legacy of her bloodlines in subsequent generations of racehorses.
