Douglas Robinson (English cricketer)
Douglas Robinson was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Derbyshire between 1937 and 1939.
Robinson was born in Ripley, Derbyshire. He made his debut for Derbyshire in July 1937 against Hampshire, taking a catch but not scoring. He played several matches in the 1937 season and in 1938 took 5 for 43 against Glamorgan. Robinson's best season was in 1939 when he played 11 matches. His last match was against Lancashire in August 1939 shortly before the outbreak of World War II.
Robinson was a right-arm medium-fast bowler and took 33 first-class wickets at an average of 31.48 and a best performance of 5 for 43. He was a right-handed batsman and played 26 innings in 16 first-class matches with a top score of 24 and an average of 8.30.
