Deonte Burton (basketball, born 1994)
Deonte Burton (born January 31, 1994) is an American professional basketball player. He played college basketball for Marquette University and Iowa State University.
Burton began his college career at Marquette, playing for two seasons before transferring to Iowa State. At Iowa State, he became a prominent player, known for his athleticism and versatility. He earned All-Big 12 honors during his time with the Cyclones.
After going undrafted in the 2017 NBA draft, Burton began his professional career in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) with the Wonju DB Promy. He quickly established himself as a high-scoring player in the KBL.
Burton later signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder of the NBA in 2018. He played primarily for their G League affiliate, the Oklahoma City Blue, but also saw some playing time with the Thunder. He demonstrated his scoring ability and athleticism in limited NBA minutes.
