Denis Smith (footballer, born 1932)

Denis Smith (born 22 May 1932) is a former English professional footballer. He played as a full-back.

Smith began his career with Rotherham United, where he was a key part of their defence in the 1950s. He helped the club win the Second Division title in the 1950-51 season. He made over 250 league appearances for Rotherham.

In 1962, he moved to Scunthorpe United, where he spent a further season before retiring from professional football.

After retiring from playing, Smith remained involved in football at a local level.
