Charles Baker (missionary)

Charles Baker (1820-1887) was a British missionary associated with the London Missionary Society (LMS), primarily known for his work in Madagascar. He arrived in Madagascar in 1862 and dedicated the remainder of his life to evangelization, education, and social development on the island.

Baker's work focused initially on the Imerina region, the political heartland of Madagascar at the time.
