Dargov

Dargov is a municipality in the Košice Region of Slovakia, located in the Trebišov District. It is situated in the eastern part of the country.

History: The first written mention of Dargov dates back to the 13th century. The village has a rich history, influenced by its location and the various cultures that have passed through the region. Dargov was the site of intense fighting during World War II in the winter of 1944/1945. The Dargov Pass, near the village, was strategically important and saw fierce battles between Soviet and German forces. A memorial commemorates these events.
