Daniel O'Reilly (bishop)
Daniel O'Reilly (born October 20, 1942) is an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as the Bishop of Baker in Oregon from 2002 to 2012.
O'Reilly was born in Detroit, Michigan. He was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Detroit on December 22, 1967. He served in various pastoral and administrative roles within the archdiocese before being appointed Bishop of Baker by Pope John Paul II on November 5, 2002. He was consecrated on January 28, 2003.
During his tenure as Bishop of Baker, O'Reilly focused on evangelization, Catholic education, and vocations to the priesthood and religious life. He also addressed issues related to social justice and the welfare of the poor and marginalized in the diocese.
O'Reilly resigned as Bishop of Baker on June 30, 2012, and was succeeded by Bishop Liam Cary.
