Dani Fernández (footballer, born 1987)

Dani Fernández (full name Daniel Fernández Acebal; born 20 January 1987) is a Spanish footballer who primarily plays as a right-back.

Career

Fernández began his career in the youth system of Real Madrid. He progressed through their various youth teams but did not break into the first team. He then played for several clubs in the lower divisions of Spanish football, including:

• Real Madrid Castilla: He spent time with Real Madrid's reserve team.
• SD Ponferradina: He had a spell with Ponferradina.
• CD Lugo: Fernández played for CD Lugo.
• Racing de Santander: He has also represented Racing de Santander.

His career has largely been spent competing in Segunda División and Segunda División B.

Style of Play

Fernández is known for his defensive capabilities as a right-back. He is typically a solid defender with good tackling and positioning skills.
