DXCC-TV

DXCC-TV is an unofficial award pursued by amateur radio television (ATV) enthusiasts. It aims to emulate the ARRL's DXCC (DX Century Club) award for contacting and confirming at least 100 different entities on the amateur radio bands, but focuses specifically on television contacts. Unlike the formal DXCC award, DXCC-TV lacks official sanction or administration by a major amateur radio organization. Instead, it's a self-policed and community-driven achievement tracked by individual operators or smaller ATV-focused groups.

The criteria for DXCC-TV vary depending on the community or individual implementing it, but generally require:

• Two-way television (video and audio) contact with a station.
• Confirmation of the contact, typically via QSL card (a postcard confirming the contact details).
• Adherence to the list of DXCC entities as defined by the ARRL (or a similar list, depending on the specific rules being used).
• Verification that the contact occurred via amateur radio television frequencies and modes.

Due to the technical challenges and specialized equipment required for ATV operation, DXCC-TV is considered a more advanced and niche accomplishment within amateur radio. Achieving it typically requires significant effort, technical expertise, and dedication from the ATV operator. The scarcity of active ATV operators in different DXCC entities makes it a particularly difficult challenge.
