DJ Fresh

DJ Fresh (born Daniel Stein, 10 April 1977) is an English drum and bass and electronic music producer, DJ, and musician. He is best known as one of the founders of the drum and bass supergroup Bad Company, and for his solo work which has achieved commercial success, including two UK number one singles.

DJ Fresh initially gained prominence within the underground drum and bass scene with releases on labels such as Renegade Hardware, Moving Shadow, and his own label, Breakbeat Kaos, co-founded with Adam F. His early work was characterized by a dark, tech-infused sound.

He transitioned to a more mainstream sound with his album Kryptonite, released in 2012, which featured collaborations with artists such as Rita Ora and Sian Evans. This marked a significant shift in his career, leading to wider recognition.

DJ Fresh achieved UK number one singles with "Hot Right Now" featuring Rita Ora in 2012, and "Louder" featuring Sian Evans in 2011. He has also had several other commercially successful singles, establishing him as a significant figure in popular electronic music.

In addition to his solo work, DJ Fresh has continued to be involved in the drum and bass scene, releasing music and performing at festivals and clubs worldwide. He has also explored other genres, showcasing his versatility as a producer. His influence extends to both the underground and mainstream electronic music worlds.
